The hygiene and cleanliness strategies we employ adhere to the latest guidelines established by these authorities, and are constantly reviewed in order to sanitize our accommodations, facilities and common areas to the highest standards as well as maintain appropriate social distancing measures.

Menin Cleaned with Confidence Program
In response to COVID-19, and in preparation for reopening, Menin Hospitality has developed independent, enhanced protocol to ensure the safety of its guests and staff with the launch of our new “Cleaned with Confidence” seal of assurance.
Menin has invested in state-of-the-art equipment from EMist, a leading electrostatic technology company used to disinfect healthcare facilities that provides world-class products that stop the spread of sickness and infection by surrounding, smothering and eradicating germs where they hide.
After Shelborne guests check out, housekeeping staff disinfects guestrooms using the EPIX360, a handheld disinfectant sprayer that lays down an even, wraparound layer of germ-killing solution. Once the rigorous cleaning is completed, guestrooms are sealed off with a “Cleaned with Confidence” marking that remains in place until the next guests arrive.
Common areas are frequently disinfected using an EM360 roller cart, which can cover up to 54,000 square feet of surface in just one hour. All meeting and event venues are disinfected pre- and post-event.
By acquiring and implementing the use of cutting edge EMist electrostatic sprayers to clean guestrooms and common areas, the program builds upon our already high standards of housekeeping and hygiene, where hospital grade cleaning products and upgraded protocols ensure you enjoy an even-cleaner and safer stay.
All guests are greeted at the front desk, protected by a plexiglass barrier. Please wear a mask upon check-in (required). Masks will be provided if needed.
Guest Room Protocol
After being thoroughly cleaned and disinfected with EMist electrostatic technology, a door seal is placed on your room to indicate that it has not been accessed since cleaned. During the deep cleaning process, the hotel’s housekeeping staff also pays particular attention to all high-touch surfaces, including door handles, remote controls, light switches, lamps and bathroom fixtures, leaving no detail unsanitized.
During your stay, the hotel will not be providing housekeeping services. Employees may not access rooms unless requested. We replenish amenities, such as towels and linens, in a contact-free manner.
Precautions in Common Areas
The hotel has increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting public spaces, with a focus on high-touch areas such as the counter at the front desk, elevators (and elevator buttons), door handles, public bathrooms, the fitness center and even room keys.
- Guests are required to wear masks in common areas at all times. Masks will be provided if needed.
- Hand sanitizer dispensers, touchless whenever possible, are placed at key guest and employee entrances and contact areas such as driveways, reception areas, hotel lobbies, restaurant entrances, public restroom areas, meeting spaces, elevator landings, pools, and exercise areas.
- Limited pool chairs are arranged according to physical distancing standards.
- Limited beach chairs are arranged according to physical distancing standards.
- We advise guests to practice physical distancing by standing at least six feet away from other groups of people while standing in lines, using elevators or moving around the property.
- Prominent signage outlining proper mask usage and current physical distancing practices is displayed throughout the hotel.
Food & Beverage Safety Protocols
During your stay you’ll notice enhanced cleaning and operational changes in our restaurants, bars, in-room dining and meeting spaces. These include recyclable disposable containers, disposable single-use menus and protective shields installed in appropriate locations. In addition, limited chairs and daybeds are arranged according to physical distancing standards.

Meetings & Events Safety Protocols
Gatherings, meetings and events will follow recommended health and safety guidelines, including limited numbers of attendees, food and beverage safety protocols, and seating arranged according to physical distancing standards.
Team Member Safety
The health, safety and education of our staff is essential in providing an effective cleaning program. The hotel has trained all housekeeping staff to properly use the newly purchased EMist equipment, ensures that all cleaning activities are done wearing the proper personal protective equipment, holds daily training sessions on hygiene protocols with supplemental resources specifically addressing COVID-19 cleanliness, and continuously reviews the proper use of cleaning supplies and PPE.
